We met up with Shyrana and Omar on the hottest day of the summer. Oh wow was it hot. But they managed to bear the heat to have a lot of fun! Downtown is always a great place for photos!

A huge congrats to Dimple and Prateek! I had the fortune of spending a few days with Dimple, Prateek, and their families! It's always a treat to get to know the families and eat all the amazing food! Yes, I love East Indian weddings! It all started a few days before the wedding at Dimple's house for the Mehndi.

I met up with Omar and Shyrana on a very rainy evening. But being the brave souls they were, they did not want to reschedule. Sounds good to me! Rain never scared me. Fortunately, 10 minutes into the shoot the rain slowed to a very light mist. Awesome!

No umbrellas needed!

So we had the flexibility to shoot wherever we…

Hello all! Keri and Adam's wedding promised to be something special. I love their no-nonsense approach to everything, which I knew would result in a day that would be a true representation of their personal style. And it certainly did not disappoint! Of course, we started out with the girls at the salon!

And the guys had their chance to be pampered too! They went to The Boardroom.

We met up with Lindsey and Chris on an absolutely gorgeous evening for a super fun e-shoot! Yes, we lucked out and got one of the days where it WASN'T raining. Seriously, what is with all this rain? It's certainly unusual! Sharing some laughs!

We used one of the amazingly beautiful downtown parks. It was a great day for a stroll.

It was a rather odd day in Edmonton on June 18. It was raining. A lot. Constantly. It's pretty rare for it to rain more than 20 minutes straight here, so a REALLY rainy day is a big surprise. But Sonia, being the sweetheart that she is, never looked bothered or upset about it, despite planning an outdoor ceremony. We are very lucky to shoot for brides like Sonia! As per usual, the rain did stop in the afternoon, but the ceremony was in the morning. The show must go on! Here are her fabulous shoes!

We had the fortune of meeting up with Chantal and Bryan on very fine spring day. Everything was promising to be amazing! And it certainly was, starting with the very pretty veil...

...and shoes!

The dress was phenomenal! Here is Chantal getting laced up!

In honour of remembrance day I thought I would make a small post about Lloyd's grandfather and mine. Two men, separated by an ocean, who both fought for the same cause. My grandfather (pictured below) was a navy gunmen. He shot down enemy aircraft. From what I remember, he "didn't want to die because some FOOL missed the shot." That's all I know. No one likes to talk about war, how horrible it was, or the fact that my own father didn't know his dad until he was a few years old because the war went on longer than anyone had anticipated. I can't imagine how my grandmother did it. Three young children, with next to no money, and always the uncertainty…

There are just so many options for brides now and I love them all, but I thought I would make a plug for the good ol' fashioned veil! There are just so many fun things to do with the veil for photos that go beyond the standard 'couple kissing under the veil' shot. Here Carlene is having a laugh while her bridesmaids work to get her dress done up. They basically threw the veil over her head to get it out of the way while they laced her up, but I love this shot!

Here Sarah and Gerald share a moment after their ceremony…

I was super excited to finally be able to offer some really nice fold-able press printed cards in addition to our flat photo printed cards! Check these out!

They aren't archival paper like the photo card, but the print quality is amazing, and the paper is such a great weight and texture. AND you can customize something inside AND on the back!
