It was one super HOT summer afternoon when we got together with Apple Dental Care for their annual staff portrait! We've previously photographed them in fall and winter so summer was the next logical step! Here is the beautiful team in the long grasses of the Mill Creek Ravine. They were such good sports while they stood there in the sun! What is awesome is this team is more like a group of friends than just co-workers. Read More
We got to shoot something a little different. We were contacted to do a photoshoot for a stagette party! Well, not of the actual party. We shot some portraits of the group of girls getting together to party! They figured that since they were getting all dressed and dolled up, why not get some amazing photos? They wanted something that was different and above the professional norm. Well, they came to the right place! Regular portraits just weren't going to cut it for me or them! They saw our Dramatic Portraiture and figured we were a good match! So we started out with a couple of absolutely fabulous group photos that are totally movie star worthy.… Read More
I had the fortune of shooting a corporate event recently for STIHL Limited. This wasn't like most corporate events though, they brought NHL hall of famer MIKE BOSSY as a speaker! Wow, I was a total Mike Bossy fan, as well as his teammate John Tonelli. Remember the 1984 Canada Cup anyone??? booya!! Kickass! Ok, it might be a little bit of a faux pas to mention that I liked the Islanders... especially considering Bossy and Tonelli overpowered the Oilers in the 1983 Stanley Cup finals. But don't worry, I'm still a bigtime Oilers fan! Anyhow, the event was at the ever popular River Cree Resort.
Paris is certainly a unique and beautiful city. So many beautiful details everywhere, always crowded and bustling with activity. (At least, this is how it was in central Paris where I stayed) It was quite a contrast to where I was in Geneva. One thing I learned is that people generally seem to eat dinner late... like after 9pm. Before then they eat and drink at places called "Brasserie". It's like having two dinners in one night. And I totally forgot that entrées are appetizers, unlike North America where we butchered it into meaning the main course. It messed me up on my first food order. hahaha. It was raining for most of the time I was in… Read More
The third stop of our Fashion World Tour was Geneva, Switzerland. Geneva is a beautiful city, and the Lake it sits on was beautiful, with surprisingly crystal clear water. We stayed in central Geneva and it gave the impression of being a wonderfully CLEAN city. I fell in love with Geneva right away. I fell in love even deeper once we reached the "Old Town" section. Hahaha, I find it funny how they consider anything built more recently than 150 years old to be new. What a difference to Edmonton. The Old Town is a beautifully maintained and preserved historic section of the city. And gorgeous it was. I could probably take a two week vacation and… Read More
Finally have completed processing the photos from the second stop on our Fashion tour: Milan, Italy! Central Milan was beautiful with classic cobblestone streets everywhere decorated with old architecture, yet still fully equipped with today's modern amenities. Beautiful! One thing that surprised me though, is how quiet it was at night. At 8pm there was hardly a soul to be seen on the streets! It felt like Edmonton at 3AM. But once business hours hit, WOW was it ever busy! Anyhow, onward to the pictures. Agnieszka looked great amidst all the fall colours, which were well and present.
So now that I'm back home, I've finally got around to processing some photos from our Fashion World Tour! Here are photos from our first stop: New York, USA! Times Square The electronic billboard displays are huge! And they're everywhere. Read More
Our current stop on our World Tour is Paris, France. We got outside kinda late after the sun had fallen, the wind was howling mad, and the air was REALLY cold, and it had been raining on and off for the last couple of days. It was gonna prove to be a difficult shoot! Especially for Ron who had to hold the lighting equipment in the strong winds. But we slugged through it and prevailed! =) We actually turned this into an e-shoot slash fashion shoot. Luisa's boyfriend, Michael was there so we worked some pics of the happy couple! For some reason, there are a lot of carousels in Paris. Read More
Our third stop on the World Tour was in Genève, Suisse. We decided to shoot in the Vieille-Ville (Old Town) and it REPEATEDLY took my breath away with almost every corner we rounded. This was historic beauty that Canada just does not have. Nina at the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre A bit of fun in the playground by the Cathédrale The flags of Switzerland and Genève Read More
