Fashion in Paris, France!

Monday, November 29th, 2010
Paris is certainly a unique and beautiful city. So many beautiful details everywhere, always crowded and bustling with activity. (At least, this is how it was in central Paris where I stayed) It was quite a contrast to where I was in Geneva. One thing I learned is that people generally seem to eat dinner late... like after 9pm. Before then they eat and drink at places called "Brasserie". It's like having two dinners in one night. And I totally forgot that entrées are appetizers, unlike North America where we butchered it into meaning the main course. It messed me up on my first food order. hahaha. It was raining for most of the time I was in… Read More

Rajat proposes to Aanchal!

Thursday, November 25th, 2010
I had the unique opportunity to be a part of an actual proposal! I usually meet couples well after the proposal has happened, but Rajat and Aanchal are by no means ordinary in any way. Including the fact that they booked me for their wedding before they were actually engaged. Hahaha. So Rajat had it all planned out. Follow along to see how it unfolded. He had a beautiful cake made specially for the occasion! There was a jewelery box made of fondant where he would place the ring.

Fashion in Geneva, Switzerland!

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010
The third stop of our Fashion World Tour was Geneva, Switzerland. Geneva is a beautiful city, and the Lake it sits on was beautiful, with surprisingly crystal clear water. We stayed in central Geneva and it gave the impression of being a wonderfully CLEAN city. I fell in love with Geneva right away. I fell in love even deeper once we reached the "Old Town" section. Hahaha, I find it funny how they consider anything built more recently than 150 years old to be new. What a difference to Edmonton. The Old Town is a beautifully maintained and preserved historic section of the city. And gorgeous it was. I could probably take a two week vacation and… Read More

I am Simon. I am Ten. Months.

Thursday, November 18th, 2010
It's been another fabulous month! Welcome back my fans! Simon here with another Monthly World Report! Lots of firsts happened so let's get right down to it, shall we? Here is my 10 month portrait! The phone wasn't supposed to be used as a prop, but daddy said I wouldn't sit still for long enough without something to play with, and the phone was the closest thing he could find. "Hello? Yes, it's Simon. Yes, I'm cute. Bye!"

Fashion in Milan, Italy!

Saturday, November 13th, 2010
Finally have completed processing the photos from the second stop on our Fashion tour: Milan, Italy! Central Milan was beautiful with classic cobblestone streets everywhere decorated with old architecture, yet still fully equipped with today's modern amenities. Beautiful! One thing that surprised me though, is how quiet it was at night. At 8pm there was hardly a soul to be seen on the streets! It felt like Edmonton at 3AM. But once business hours hit, WOW was it ever busy! Anyhow, onward to the pictures. Agnieszka looked great amidst all the fall colours, which were well and present.

Remembered.

Thursday, November 11th, 2010
In honour of remembrance day I thought I would make a small post about Lloyd's grandfather and mine. Two men, separated by an ocean, who both fought for the same cause. My grandfather (pictured below) was a navy gunmen. He shot down enemy aircraft. From what I remember, he "didn't want to die because some FOOL missed the shot." That's all I know. No one likes to talk about war, how horrible it was, or the fact that my own father didn't know his dad until he was a few years old because the war went on longer than anyone had anticipated. I can't imagine how my grandmother did it. Three young children, with next to no money, and always the uncertainty… Read More
